Latest Scam -The Book People |

A male, who is claiming to be from the Book People, is attending locations to collect the cash and take the books back. The description of the male is white, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins, medium build with very short mousy brown hair and glasses. Northamptonshire Police has also informed us they have also had several reports of similar incidents recently. When being visited by persons who are claiming to be from an organisation/company it is advised that you ask to see their identification which they should carry with them at all time. If when identification is produced and you are still unsure then call the organisation/company they claim to work for and the company will be able to confirm if they do or don’t. If they are who they say they are they shouldn’t be offended by you asking and won’t mind waiting the extra few moments it will take. If at anytime you feel that persons aren’t who they say they are make sure you contact the police either by: 999 (Emergency) or 0345 456 456 4 (Non – Emergency)
