Operation Alert, cracking down on Burglaries |

This is primarily down to the targetting of known offenders and disrupting their behaviour and arresting them for offences committed.
We have identified 60 known burglars and by targetting them we have in the last week alone arrested 8 of them for criminal matters, by dealing with these offenders for every single crime they commit, they are spending more time in custody with ourselves and the prison, ensuring they are not able to be out in the public comitting burglaries. Of the 60 offenders originally on the list for targetting over 20 have been arrested so far in the operation and 7 are currently in prison.
