Shed & Allotment thefts

Most of us will have already, on site, a typical garden shed that most homeowners purchase at some time. Many of these garden sheds are supplied with little or no adequate security features and many of them will have insufficiently sized timbers around the areas where security devices should be installed. The only real option is to purchase additional hasps, staples and padlocks of suitable quality and additional timber on which to mount them. Obviously the best advice would be not to keep anything of real value in your shed but unfortunately people do and then continue to leave them insecure. We have had numerous tools, bikes and expensive gardening equipment stolen in recent weeks. I would ask everyone with a shed beit in the garden or on an allotment to make sure it is secure if you are storing any type of value item inside. Think about alarmed padlocks for a garden shed and make sure all perimeter fencing is secure, this is especially relevant to allotment users. If you happen to overlook an allotment area then please do keep an eye open for any suspicious activity and report it immediately to our control room on 0345 456 456 4.
